Description
This is a house located at 12 Bridge End, built in 1715, as indicated by a datestone. The exterior features a combination of banded flint and brick, with some rubble and rendered timber framing, topped by an old plain-tile roof with brick chimneys. The house has a three-unit plan and a rear outshut, standing two storeys high with attics.
The front of the house has three windows, with a banded design, brick stepped plinth, storey band, and dressings. The central entrance consists of a combined door and casement, flanked by two-light segmental-arched casements on the outer bays and first floor, most of which are leaded. A datestone on the first floor, surrounded by moulded brick, is inscribed with "CL/1715". The windows in the left bay are an early alteration from pairs of windows. There are chimneys located to the right of the center and on the left gable. The left gable wall is made of rubble, while the right gable wall features rendered timber framing with a leaded gable window. The interior has not been inspected.
