Description
These are two buildings, numbers 28 and 30, located on the north side of Market Place. The front facades date from the early 19th century, while the rear facades are older. The street-facing walls are constructed of red brick with a slate roof and wide eaves. The buildings are two stories high, with three windows on each floor, featuring sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor contains two shop fronts that have been altered in the early 20th century. Number 30 is part of a group of buildings associated with numbers 20 to 36 (even), a barn at the rear of numbers 32 and 34 (even), the Town Hall, and numbers 5 to 31 (odd) across the street.
