Description
22 Market Place is a building from the later 19th century, featuring a timber-framed range at the rear, designed in the Henley style. It is constructed of grey brick with red brick and glazed yellow brick dressings. The building has a tiled roof with paired end stacks, an eaves cornice, and bands between the first and second floors. It stands three storeys high and has three windows: paired sashes on the west side and a single sash on the east side. The first-floor windows are set under shallow Gothic arches with stone tympana, and they feature late 19th-century glazing. The ground floor has a modern shop front. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 20 to 36, the barn at the rear of 32 to 34, the Town Hall, and Nos 5 to 31 opposite.
