Description
This is a 17th-century barn located approximately 50 meters southwest of Rycote Lane Farmhouse in Great Haseley. The barn features weatherboarded timber framing set on a rubble and brick plinth, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. It has a three-bay plan with opposed central double doors and some later windows. Inside, the roof is supported by two rows of clasped purlins and heavy framed trusses. There is an attached outbuilding made from similar materials, which has a half-hipped roof. This barn is part of a group of farm buildings that includes a granary and a cartshed.
