Description
Crowsley Park stable and coach house, located approximately 40 metres west of the main house, dates from 1758 as indicated on a stone at the rear. The building is constructed of red brick with flared headers and features a slate roof. It is designed in a U-plan and consists of a two-storey, nine-bay range, with a five-bay central section flanked by a one-bay wing to the left and a three-bay wing to the right. The central section has three circular-topped double doors, with round-headed doorways on either side; the left doorway is blind. The first floor has four six-pane sash windows, with a blind pane to the left, and a pedimented cross-gable above the central bay, topped with a hipped roof. The right wing includes three round-topped recesses on the ground floor with thermal windows, a six-pane sash window in the centre of the first floor, and plank doors on either side, also with a pedimented cross-gable above the central bay and a hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected. There is a single-storey wing at the rear featuring gothick windows.
