Description
This is a barn located approximately 25 meters northwest of Allnutt's Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It features weatherboarded timber framing and a half-hipped roof made of corrugated asbestos sheets. The barn consists of four bays, with the second bay from the left having double doors. The boarded section opposite likely served as another entrance originally, and there is a further doorway to the right.
Inside, the framing includes wide studding, jowled posts, and tension braces. The roof is a four-bay double-purlin design with interrupted queen-post trusses, and there are braces supporting the tie beams. Some of the clasped rafters have been renewed, and one bay has renewed purlins on one side. The attached lean-tos are not considered to have special architectural interest. This barn is included for its group value.
