Description

The Old House is a 17th-century house with 19th and 20th-century additions. It is timber-framed with brick infill, and has a half-hipped thatched roof with a pair of brick chimney shafts between the left bays. The house is of 1 1/2 storeys and 3 bays. It features irregular leaded casement windows, some of which date to the 20th century, with those to the upper storey set within the thatch. There are single-light windows and a blocked door in line with the chimney, and a 20th-century door between the right bays of the east side. A single-storey 19th-20th century extension of one bay is present to the left, and a matching 20th-century wing projects to the right. A 20th-century lean-to is on the west side, formerly containing an entrance. The interior includes diagonal bracing and a stop-chamfered spine beam with run-out stops in the central room.
