Description

This headstone, dating from the early 18th century, is located approximately 5 meters southwest of the tower of the Church of St. Peter in Great Haseley. It is made of limestone and features a short stone with an arched head. The raised rectangular inscription panel is flanked by standing cherubs. The head of the stone includes a relief of a female bust surrounded by flaming urns. Although the inscription is largely illegible, the date 1724 is still visible. This headstone is part of an important group near the main entrance to the church and is included for its group value.
