Description

The Cooper memorial is a large chest tomb located against the east wall of the chancel of the Church of St. Peter in Great Haseley. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a moulded base and a flat top with a moulded edge. It has rectangular corner balusters and panelled sides. An inscription on the east end commemorates John Cooper, Senior, and his wife Anne, while later Cooper deaths are recorded on the west end. The side panels are illegible. This memorial is included for its group value.
