Description

Middle Thatch is a cottage, likely dating from the mid-17th century with probable 18th-century extensions. It is constructed of rendered timber frame with brick infill, and has a thatched roof. A rebuilt brick end stack is located to the left. The original design was a single-cell plan. The cottage is single-storey with an attic, featuring a one-window front. A 19th-century casement window is present. A swept dormer is visible on the roof. A single-storey wing extends to the left, with a plank door on the right and a 19th-century casement window on the left, topped with a hipped roof. Another single-storey wing extends to the right, featuring a 19th-century casement window and a hipped roof. Inside, a chamfered spine beam is visible at the centre of the ground floor. A 20th-century addition is located at the rear.
