Description
Elvendon Priory is a priory that has been converted into a house. It dates back to the 15th century, with additions and alterations made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The building is constructed from flint with stone dressings and features a plain tile roof and brick stacks. It has an L-shaped plan and is two stories tall, with a seven-window range. To the right of the center, there is a half-glazed early 20th-century door with an early 20th-century porch. The windows are irregularly arranged and consist of stone mullions with leaded casements, including two windows that are likely from the 15th century to the left of the porch. The roof has three cross-gables. Inside, there is an open well early 20th-century staircase. Due to its reputed monastic origins, the structure of the building is likely to be of archaeological interest.
