Description
Venison House is a building dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It features weatherboarded timber framing set on a brick plinth and has a thatched roof. The structure has a rectangular plan, with the upper part of the walls covered in metal mesh. There is a plank door located at one end, and the roof is hipped. Inside, there is a stone-flag floor, and the underside of the roof is plastered. The building is situated on an island in a pond. Nuneham Park, where Venison House is located, is listed in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission County Register of Gardens at Grade I.
