Description
The northern section of the forecourt wall and part of the northern terrace at Nuneham House is a wall and balustrading, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and measures approximately 10 meters long. The low wall features a plain coping and runs between square piers, connecting to a higher section that flanks the entrance to the northern terrace. This section also includes a 7-meter length of balustrading with a short return to the west. The piers of the balustrading are topped with stone balls and urns. This structure is included for its group value, as Nuneham Park is listed in the HBMC County Register of Gardens at Grade I.
