Description
The ruins of the Church of St. James, located in Bix, are a Romanesque structure that has now fallen into disrepair. The building is constructed of flint with stone dressing and areas of render, comprising a nave and chancel. There are two window openings in the south wall of the nave and one in the south wall of the chancel. The north wall of the nave features two window openings, while the north wall of the chancel has one. A pointed arched window opening is present in the east wall of the chancel, and there is a round arched doorway in the center of the south wall of the nave. Inside, there are niches on each side of the chancel arch. The site is scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
