Description
Pilgrim Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid-17th century, with later alterations. It features painted brick and some timber framing, topped with a tiled roof and brick stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan with an outshut at the rear, forming a rectangular shape. It is one storey high with an attic and has a three-window range. The roof has three gabled dormers, and the ground floor has three 3-light casement windows. To the left of the centre, there is a door with an early 20th-century tiled gabled porch. At the rear right, there is a wing constructed of rubble stone and brick on the ground floor, with timber framing and brick infill on the first floor. A lateral stack is located at the junction of the wing and the main house, with an end stack at the rear of the wing. Inside, the cottage retains its internal timber frame.
