Description
Hawes Farm and Barn is a farmhouse with an attached barn, dating from the early 17th century, with later alterations. The farmhouse is constructed of flint with brick dressings and has a tile roof. The barn features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, also with a tile roof. The building is two stories high with an attic and has a two-window range. There is probably a 19th-century single-storey, two-bay wing on the left and a wing on the right that connects with the barn. The main block has a three-light dormer on the left and a two-light dormer on the right. All openings, except for the two-light casement on the first floor to the right, have three-light casements set in moulded brick surrounds. The right wing has blocked ventilation slits and irregular 20th-century windows. The interior has not been inspected.
