Description
Staddles Cottage is a house that was formerly a village bakery, likely built in the early 17th century, with a 20th-century addition to the left and some alterations. It features a rendered plinth and large timber framing with arched bracing and rendered infill. The roof is thatched and half-hipped, with a brick ridge stack positioned to the left of the center. The building is single storey with an attic and consists of a 5-bay range. There is a 20th-century glazed door leading to the addition on the left. The windows are arranged irregularly, including an early 19th-century bow window with a 28-pane unhorned sash and a reeded surround on the right. A swept dormer is located at the center. The rear of the cottage is roughcast, likely over timber framing, and has irregularly placed 20th-century casements. The interior has not been inspected.
