Description
This cowhouse, built in 1789, is located approximately 300 meters south of Rycote Lane Farmhouse in Great Haseley. It features weatherboarded timber framing set on a rubble and brick plinth, topped with a half-hipped roof made of old plain tiles. The building has a six-bay layout, although it was originally longer on the left side. The current entrances are located in the first and fourth bays from the left, and there are high-level 20th-century windows. Inside, the structure includes queen-post trusses with one row of clasped purlins, along with troughs and hayracks. Additionally, a lower two-bay building projects from the right side of the front and has a later queen-post roof.
