Description
29A Castle Street is a building that consists of two distinct parts. The left side is likely from the 18th century but may date back to the late 17th century. It has a timber frame that is rendered and features two storeys and an attic, with one window and a 19th-century shopfront. Above the shopfront, there is a sash window with glazing bars. The roof is slate with one gabled dormer. Inside, some timber framing with light scantling and curved braces is visible.
The right side of the building is from the early 19th century. It is also rendered and has three storeys, with one window featuring sashes and glazing bars in flush frames above a 19th-century shopfront. The roof is hipped and covered with slate.
