Description
The Queen's College East Range, built in 1485, is located in the back (or North) Quadrangle. The Williamson Building, situated to the north and facing Queen's Lane, was constructed in 1672 at the expense of Sir Joseph Williamson, based on a design by Sir Christopher Wren, with Anthony Deane of Uffington as the master mason. The inner side of the East Range was built between 1719 and 1721 on the site of the loggia of the Williamson Building to align with the South Range. During this period, an additional storey was also added to the Williamson Building.
