Description

No. 44 on St Giles Street is a house and offices, likely built in the late 18th century. It is a four-storey structure with a roughcast timber frame. Each floor features two sash windows set in moulded frames. The ground floor window is adorned with a cornice supported by scroll brackets, and there are remnants of paterae on the frieze. The side doorway on the south side has a similar design. The windows include glazing bars, and there is a timber cornice above. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 31 to 46 and Nos 49 to 56 on the street.
