Description
The Provost's Lodgings at Queen's College, built between 1958 and 1960, was designed by Raymond Erith. This two-storey building is constructed of stone ashlar. The street-facing side is symmetrical, featuring rusticated stone on the ground floor and ashlar on the first floor. There is a central square-headed entrance with a Diocletian window above it, and small square-headed lights on either side of the entrance. Slightly raised rusticated pilasters flank the entrance, with a string course above that is emphasized more than those on the sides. The upper storey includes a blind arched niche in the center, flanked by two square-headed windows. The building has a pitched, hipped roof with dormers on the west side and a slab chimney.
