Description
New College's West Range, located in the Great Quadrangle, dates back to 1485. The Warden's Lodging features 16th-century fireplaces, an overmantel from around 1600, and a staircase that may have been designed by Richard Frogley in 1675. The building underwent alterations and enlargements between 1903 and 1904. The west front has been patched with synthetic stone. The range along Queens Lane includes parts from the 16th century, and a bridge over the lane was constructed in 1676 and has since been restored. Additional alterations took place in 1958 and 1959.
