Description

Somerville College's West Building, located at the northwest corner, was designed by H C Moore and constructed in two phases in 1887 and 1895. The later phase included the addition of a lodge at the Walton Street Gate. To the northeast of the West Building, a gymnasium was built in 1890, which was converted into a lecture room in 1922.
