Description
91 St Aldate's Street is a house dating from the late 18th century, around 1782. It features a three-storey roughcast timber-framed front with a moulded cornice and a parapet. The front is a well-preserved example of what is likely an originally 17th-century house. There are three sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor has a doorframe from the 18th or 19th century on the south side, which includes a rectangular fanlight and a scroll-bracketed cornice that extends north over two sash windows with moulded wood frames and cornices. The south side and west back of the house are similar in style. Inside, there are two notable fireplaces and two plaster ceilings designed in the Adam style. The roof is not visible from the street. Nos 82 to 92, which are consecutive, form a group with this property.
