Description
Nos 48 and 49 on Broad Street are a shop building that has been refronted in the 20th century. The front features three storeys with stucco and rusticated quoins, topped with a moulded cornice in an 18th-century style, although the core of the building is older. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate, and includes a gabled attic dormer. Each floor has two three-sided bays with sash windows that have glazing bars, set in moulded wood frames with moulded architraves. The rear part of the building is modern. Nos 48 to 53 form a group with Trinity and Balliol Colleges.
