Description

This chest tomb, dedicated to William Hains, dates from 1717 and is located approximately 8 meters south of the porch of the Church of St. Mary. It is made of ironstone and features a moulded chamfered ledger slab. The sides are panelled with balusters, and there is an inscription in a plain panel that reads: "In memory of William Hains the son of John Hains who died May 3rd 1717, aged 49 years."
