Description
An 18th-century barn, located at Starveale Farm in Horton. The barn is constructed of squared coursed ironstone with a steeply pitched corrugated-iron roof and stone-coped gables. It comprises seven bays, with entrances originally positioned in the third and seventh bays. The left-hand entrance door is missing, but it retains a wood lintel. A door on the right-hand side is clad with corrugated-iron and also has a wood lintel. Inside, the barn features a stone flag floor and a principal rafter roof with collars, side purlins, and tie beams. Stone dividing walls are present between the second and third bays, and the fourth and fifth bays; the former wall has a loft door.
