Description
This brick kiln, located approximately 70 metres southwest of the Twyford Road Canal Bridge, is likely from the 19th century. It is constructed of brick and reinforced with iron. The kiln features a rectangular shape with battered walls, which include blocked arched low-level fire holes on the long sides and an arched doorway at one end. The interior originally had a brick barrel-vaulted roof, which has since collapsed. This kiln is the larger of a pair of kilns.
