Description

The churchyard cross, dating from the 14th to 15th century, is located approximately 5 meters southwest of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Charlton on Otmoor. It is made of limestone and features a complete tapering octagonal shaft, although the head is missing. The shaft rises from an octagonal base that has broach stops and stands on a three-step square plinth, with the lower step displaying a coved nosing.
