Description

The south wall of the churchyard, located approximately 3 metres south of the Church of St Mary the Virgin, is a churchyard wall dating from the 17th to 18th century, with early 19th-century piers. It is constructed of limestone rubble, featuring ashlar piers and copings. The wall stands about 1.5 metres high and has a triangular coping. Square piers with pyramidal copings are connected by simple cast-iron gates and an overthrow. This structure is included for its group value.
