Description
Court Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century and was remodeled in the 18th century. A datestone on the west gable indicates the year 1728. The building is constructed of ironstone ashlar with limestone quoins and features two large stone stacks at the ends, along with a stone ridge and coping. It has a Welsh slate roof and a parapet. The farmhouse has a two-unit L-plan layout, with a two-storey wing at the rear on the left side.
The garden front is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The central doorway, which has a keystone, pulvinated frieze, and entablature, is flanked by two tall windows that feature lugged architraves and 20th-century sash windows. On the first floor, there are three sash windows with lugged architraves and keystones. The left gable end includes two and three-light stone mullioned windows. Inside, the farmhouse is noted for having a contemporary staircase.
