Description

This is a garden chest tomb located about 13 meters north of the vestry of the Church of St Lawrence, likely dating from the 1880s. It is made of black polished granite and features a plain rectangular shape set on a tall plinth and base. Heavy chains encircle the chest, suspended between sturdy iron corner posts. The inscriptions on the tomb commemorate Robert Garden, who died in 1826, along with other family members.
