Description
Remingtons is a house dating from the early 18th century, altered in the early 19th century. The ground floor is painted brick, while the first floor is tile hung and painted to the front elevation. It has a plain tiled roof. The house has two storeys, a basement, and an attic, and sits on a plinth with moulded cornices to the first floor and to the gambrel roof. Stacks project and are offset at the left and right ends, and to the rear right. There are two hipped dormers. The fenestration is regular, featuring two tripartite glazing bar sashes on each floor, with a central glazing bar sash and blind box on the first floor. The ground floor has a central half-glazed door with a moulded flat hood on brackets, approached by a flight of three steps. A segmentally headed basement opening is located to the left. The roof has been extended to the rear, and a 20th-century wing has been attached to the rear left.
