Description
The stable courtyard, located about 25 metres north-west of the Gate Lodge at Lillesden, was built around 1855 for Colonel Edward Lloyd. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tiled roof. The courtyard has granite-set paving and an entrance in the west range, which is enclosed by brick walls approximately 5 feet high, topped with a capped gate pier.
To the north, there is a two-storey coach house with a hipped roof, which includes an angled and projecting wing to the right that has a half-hip. The coach house features a central cluster of moulded stacks, four sash windows on the first floor, a loft door to the right, three infilled segmental coach entries to the left, one further entry to the right, and a sash window to the centre right.
To the east, there is a single-storey range that has three sash windows and a half-glazed door to the right. Additionally, there is a lower single-storey range to the right that was extended in the late 20th century, featuring three irregular wooden casements and two glazed doors. This building is included for its group value.
