Description

This is an anonymous chest tomb located approximately 1.5 metres south of the nave of the Old Church of St Peter. It dates from the 16th or 17th century and is constructed from coursed blocks of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a thick soffit-chamfered flat lid, which is somewhat worn, and any inscription that may have been present has eroded away.
