Description

This is a late 17th or earlier timber-framed house with an attached oasthouse. It was extended in the mid-19th century. The house is constructed of timber framing, with sections that are weather boarded and tile hung, and later extensions in red brick and weather boarding. The roof is tiled and half-hipped to the left, with a gable to the right and a stack positioned towards the centre left. The house section has three two-light wooden casement windows on the first floor and three three-light wooden casement windows on the ground floor. The right-hand section has two three-light wooden casement windows on each floor. A boarded door is located centrally. Behind the right side of the house is an oasthouse with a double-span, two-storey stowage with wooden casement windows on each floor. A flat-roofed extension has a boarded door on the ground floor to the left and windows to the right return on each floor. Two square kilns are at the rear, topped with cowls and winding vanes.
