Description

Linkhill Cottages is a pair of cottages located on Rye Road in Sandhurst. They were built in the mid-18th century and underwent changes in the 19th century. The cottages feature a timber frame that is clad in weatherboarding and have a tiled roof with an external brick chimneystack at the right end. The building has a two-bay end-stack plan and stands two storeys high with two windows. The windows are 20th-century casements, and there is a weatherboarded and tiled gabled porch with sidelights. The rear of the cottages has a catslide roof. Inside, there is an open fireplace with a wooden bressumer, exposed floor joists, and diagonal braces in the wall frame.
