Description
Bayford House is a house dating from the early 17th century, which has been altered in the early 19th century and has a 20th-century wing at the rear. The ground floor is built of red brick in Flemish bond, while the first floor is tile-hung. The house features a 19th-century tiled roof with end brick chimneystacks. It has two storeys, attics, and a basement, with three windows in total. There are two 19th-century gabled dormers with casements and 19th-century casements on the lower floors. The basement has cambered headed openings, and there is a 19th-century gabled weather porch with curved weatherboarding. At the rear, there is a 17th-century kitchen wing. Inside, there is an open fireplace in the parlour dating from around 1625, as well as another fireplace in the kitchen that includes a Victorian range.
