Description
This chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is located 0.5 metres south of the east-most buttress of the nave of the Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin in West Malling. It features a moulded plinth and elaborate gadrooned and fluted baluster-shaped pilasters, adorned with a floral frieze. The tomb has fielded panels decorated with sunflower motifs and is topped with a moulded basalt slab. The inscription on the tomb was illegible at the time of the survey.
