Description
The Mill Pottery is a former watermill located on Mill Lane in Wateringbury. It dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled half-hipped roof that features two dormers. There is a catslide roofed extension on the south side and a later gabled wing to the north, which includes a wooden gallery on the west side. A wooden mill-wheel is still in place on the north side of the main block. The building has segment-headed surrounds for 20th-century easement windows. Access to the main block is via a door at the west end, which is reached by eight wooden steps. At the time of the last survey, the machinery was awaiting reassembly.
