Description
Lewson House is a 16th-century house that was once used as cottages. It features a timber frame clad with red brick and weatherboard, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has a lobby entry plan with four framed bays and a projecting wing at the rear. The entrance front is two storeys high, showcasing a continuous jetty and a hipped roof with gablets. There are stacks located at the centre right and a free-standing stack at the left end, all made of English bond brick, each adorned with a large heart design in relief. The front has three glazing bar sash windows on each floor and a ribbed and studded door located to the centre right, set within a four-centred arched doorway with a moulded surround. At the rear, there is a two-storey hipped wing on the left and a red brick outshot on the right, which features a gabled dormer. The rear also has an irregular arrangement of wooden casement windows.
