Description

Post Office Cottage is a house dating back to the 17th century, with alterations in the 19th century. It is timber-framed and has been clad with red brick on the ground floor and weather board on the first floor, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high, with a hipped roof to the left and a gabled roof to the right. There is a stack at the right end of the roof. The front has two wooden casement windows on each floor, and a plank and stud door set within a central, late 20th-century gabled porch featuring pilaster surrounds and a pediment. Group value stems from its contribution to the character of the area.
