Description
The Lodge at Norton Court is a gate lodge built in the early 19th century. It features a distinctive chequered pattern of red and blue brick and has a plain tiled roof. The building has an octagonal plan with an attached rear wing and stands one storey high beneath a half-octagonal roof. On the façade, there are arched windows with Gothic tracery to the left and right of a central half-glazed door, which is set in a decorative surround with a traceried fanlight above. A five-bay verandah with wooden rails and posts extends across the front. To the right, there is a one-storey wing that includes a central stack, a panel door with a side-light, and one wooden casement window.
