Description

The garden wall and gateways to the north of Milstead Manor date from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of red brick and runs from the east end of Manor Road for approximately 35 yards, standing about 3 feet high. The wall sweeps up to gate piers topped with stone ball finials, featuring a wrought iron gate with an ornamental overthrow. Beyond this, the wall continues for another 40 yards, reaching a height of around 7 feet, and includes a dentil cornice and tiled coping, as well as a simple wrought iron gate leading to the Manor gardens.
