Description

Oak Cottages is a house, now divided into two homes, dating from the 16th century. It features a timber frame that is exposed, with plaster infill, painted brick infill, and some weatherboarding. The roof is plain tiled, hipped, and has gablets, with stacks located at the rear and on the right end. The building is two storeys high and has irregularly placed wood casement windows, with those on the ground floor having sills at ground level. The entrance to No. 2 is through a two-storeyed gabled porch on the right, which is jettied at the first floor and has a boarded door with a moulded surround. No. 1 is accessed via a boarded door with a flat hood located on the left return front.
