Description
Town Place is a house that dates back to the 15th century and was refaced in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame and is clad with painted brick on the ground floor, while the first floor is rendered. The roof is plain tiled and hipped, with two storeys and an exposed bressummer, along with moulded box eaves. There are stacks located to the left, right, and at the rear of the building. On the first floor, there are four glazing bar sash windows, and on the ground floor, there are three tripartite glazing bar sash windows, with a six-panel door to the centre right; the top two panels are glazed and the door has a flat hood supported by brackets. Originally, this building served as a manor house, possibly constructed during the reign of Henry VI.
