Description

Brenchley House, located on the High Street in Sittingbourne, is a late 18th century house built around 1800 by Edward Brenchley. The three-story building has a basement and is constructed of red brick with a wooden modillion eaves cornice. The front features three windows, with two flattened bay windows extending through all floors. A Venetian window is positioned between these bays on the first floor, with original glazing bars intact. A prominent porch features fluted Ionic columns, an open pediment, a semi-circular fanlight, panelled reveals, and a six-panelled door. Brenchley House is part of a group of buildings including Nos. 23 to 45 (odd) and 49 to 81 (odd) on the same street.
