Description

This is a 19th-century warehouse, notable for its prominent position along Faversham Creek. It is a typical warehouse of the period, but its location merits group value. The building stands four and a half storeys high, with a lucarn in the gable end and over the quay. It has three bays facing west. The roof is slate-covered, with three gabled dormers facing south and two gabled dormers and a lucarn facing north. The front of the building is constructed of yellow stock brick, with a band below the third-floor windows and a cornice above. It features segmental-headed windows with glazing bars, with each bay defined by flat brick pilasters. Wooden boarded doors are located in the central bay on the ground and first floors. A four-storey lean-to annexe faced with corrugated iron is attached to the south side.
