Description

This boundary stone, located 50 metres northwest of the Gardener's Lodge, dates from the mid-18th century. It is made of stone with a curved top, of which only about one foot is visible above ground level. The stone features the initials T and L, representing Town and Liberty, and likely the initial F for Faversham, which is buried beneath the soil. The opposite side displays the initial M. This boundary stone is similar to another boundary stone found at Chart Mills.
